Our Experienced Team
Managing your project requires attention to detail on many levels—from guiding project team members to monitoring design issues to overseeing budgets. Below are some of the key players at David J. Spector & Associates whose depth and breadth of expertise are integral to your project’s success:
David Spector (President)
David Spector, the president of David J. Spector & Associates, has been active in real estate since 1979. He has participated in the development of more than 5 million square feet of multi-use commercial and residential new construction and has managed tenant improvements valued in excess of $750 million. His experience, which includes new building development, building redevelopment, corporate relocation, retail installation, and high end residential renovation, spans all development and construction phases, including site evaluation; program and zoning analysis; design development; lease and contract negotiation; and construction management.
Matthew Barnett (Project Manager)
Matt has over 30 years of experience working on projects ranging from large corporate installations, to complex phased institutional projects, to custom private residences. He has managed both new development projects and multi-site retail roll outs. Formally the owner of a small general contracting company, Matt brings tremendous insight to the pre-construction and budgeting process. He has been a project manager with DJS&A since 2013, and in that time has successfully completed a $12.0 million building envelope restoration, a renovation of a luxury residential property, and the renovation of a small midtown office building for a single user.
